The Christopher Center: Memory Care<\/h2>\n

Located on our campus, The Christopher Center Memory Care center provides sensitive, effective, and very personalized senior care for residents with Alzheimer\u2019s or other dementia-related illness.

\nThe Christopher Center at Our Lady of Peace is designed as a pavilion featuring a bright atrium with a central area made up of a nurse\u2019s station, music room, sunroom, dining room, and activity room. Resident suites surround the central living area. To provide familiarity and recognition, each suite features a Memory Box just outside the door that showcases a resident’s personal photos and mementos. In addition, all of the indoor spaces are lit in such a way as to create a calm ambiance, and a secure courtyard allows residents to enjoy the outdoors whenever they like.<\/p>\n

The Reflections Memory Care Program at Our Lady of Peace offers a fresh perspective on memory care. Specialized training, careful selection of caregivers, and a resident-focused approach are hallmarks of the Reflections program.<\/p>\n

Employees using the Reflections program are required to complete an intensive 15-hour training course. This in-depth training\u2014as well as individualized resident care plans, the specialized environment of the Christopher Center, and the Daily Fare activity schedule\u2014is unique to the Reflections program.<\/p>\n

Our team incorporates the most up-to-date therapeutic approaches as well as reminiscence, art, music, and pet therapies, and sensory stimulation into daily life. Our goal is to enhance resident engagement, provide opportunities for success based on current abilities, and to build positive relationships among residents, families, and caregivers.<\/p>\n

About the logo: the Reflections logo plays on the meaning of the word \u201creflection\u201d and is a representation of the forget-me-not flower. Several folklore legends explain the flower\u2019s meaning, all relating to the idea of \u201cnot forgetting\u201d the devotion of a dear loved one or Christ\u2019s love for his children. Blue is the color of trust, calm, and peace.<\/p>\n
